Much of our business is based on finding working methods and procedures that minimize our impact on the environment. In practice, this means high efficiency in the use of energy, optimized systems for materials recycling, and production methods that prevent all types of pollutants and contaminants.
Concrete examples of environmental measures include the consistent use of water-based, non-toxic microemulsions throughout the process. This helps us minimize our use of environmentally harmful oils.
We also use tube blanks instead of bar stock as much as possible in production in order to reduce unnecessary material waste.
Kils Automatsvarning was ISO 14001-certified in 2012.
Environmental Policy
Kils Automatsvarvning shall comply with the laws and regulations applicable to our operations. Legislation and agreements with stakeholders are the minimum requirements. It is in the company’s interest to maintain standards that go beyond these requirements. At AB Kils Automatsvarvning, it is natural for us in our daily work to:
- Design our production processes and handling at the factory with consideration for the environment, in order to prevent waste and pollution from our operations. We will monitor and reduce waste from production.
- Be aware of how our operations impact the environment. This includes measurements, calculations, and documentation of, among other things, greenhouse gas emissions.
- Maintain sustainable resource management by using scrap-based raw materials and ensuring efficient recycling of our scrap. Continuously strive to reduce our consumption of raw materials and other resources such as water.
- Continuously seek ways to reduce our energy consumption and use renewable energy wherever possible.
- Implement chemical management that minimizes usage, replaces environmentally hazardous substances whenever possible, and prioritizes phasing out and risk-reducing substances.
- Comply with the requirements of laws, regulations, and governmental directives, and operate in accordance with the international environmental standard ISO 14001.
- Continuously work to improve ourselves and our management system to enhance environmental performance.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on matters concerning environmental responsibility.

Work Environment
At Kils Automatsvarvning, we prioritize a safe, pleasant, and stimulating work environment. We comply with applicable laws and agreements—but we do not stop there. Our goal is to continuously improve the work environment and create a workplace where all employees feel well and enjoy being.
Work Environment Policy

Be aware of and manage the risks present in our operations.

Conduct safety inspections four times per year.

Address deficiencies in the work environment that could cause discomfort or ill health immediately, or alternatively, establish an action plan to eliminate the deficiency.

Work to reduce the number of heavy lifts.

Provide appropriate personal protective equipment.

Regularly educate and inform employees about the risks at their respective workplaces.

Respond to frequent absenteeism with discussions in which the safety representative also participates. Frequent absenteeism is defined as more than four occasions within six months.

Keep our own work areas clean, such as wiping floors and picking up shells, to minimize the risk of slips and falls.

With customers in the automotive, paper and mining industries, quality issues are top priority for us. Kils Automatsvarvning has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 2012. Guidelines for our work are stipulated in carefully drafted policies.
